Barbara Lee Emslie
Barbara Lee Emslie, age 71, of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. Barb was born on May 7, 1951 in Coshocton to the late Lorin and Patsy (Littlefield) Hannahs.
Barb graduated from Coshocton High School. On December 5, 1981, she married Greg Emslie at Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Guardians and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Barb also enjoyed reading her Bible and crocheting. She loved the show Snoop, watching the birds and animals eat popcorn outside her house, and cherished her dog Gigi. Barb will truly be missed by her family and friends.
Along with her husband of 40 years, she is survived by her two loving children, Wendy Hobson and Jamison Alford; four grandchildren, Sara Curtis, Courtney Fry, Tiffany Alford and Connor Hobson; one great-granddaughter, Gracelyn Miller and two siblings, Susi Brown and Pat Hannahs.
In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by her brother Tad and her dear friend, Brenda Grewell.
A private Graveside service will be held at a later date. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
