Gary Gene Martin
Gary Gene Martin, 63, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was retired from OG&E, along with 30 years with AES, member of Grace Community Church and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was an avid hunter, farmer and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Martin; three sons, Sean Martin, Jeremy Martin (Fauna) and Kyle Martin (Audra); his mother, Joretta Marie Martin; two brothers, Daryl Martin (Carol) and Rod Martin (Amy); one sister, Lisa Martin; seven grandchildren, Brianna, Kenneth, Adalynn, Tristan, Jackson, Hailey Jo and Carson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Martin.
Funeral service were 10 a.m., Saturday, November 12 at Grace Community Church in Fort Smith with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Pallbearers were Daryn Rasberry, Rick Jackson, Tony Smith, Carter Brooks, Paul Matlock and Mike Sanders. Honorary pallbearers were Tod, Hayden, Ben, Jason, Josh and Justin Martin and Jacob Courtwright.
