Michael Richard Cappel
Michael Richard Cappel, 72, of Newcomerstown, passed away on December 13, 2022. He was born on September 6, 1950 to the late Richard and Nancy (Finnicum) Cappel. He retired from AEP Conesville in 2015. He owned and operated The Copper Rose, where he handcarved sandstone features for people all over the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Sue (Casteel) Cappel. They were married for over 52 years. He is also survived by his son, Jason (Kelly) Cappel and grandson Jeremy of Dover. His daughter Melissa (Biff) Hayes and grandchildren Kenley and Jensen of West Lafayette. He is also survived by his Aunt Joann Jividen and brother Kim Cappel. He was preceded in death by his brother Allen Cappel. Upon Mike’s request, there will be no services.
