Maple announces run for mayor of West Lafayette

| December 18, 2022

Tyler Maple has announced his candidacy for the office of mayor of the Village of West Lafayette.

“I am excited to announce that I am running for mayor here in the Village of West Lafayette,” he said. “Many people locally have encouraged me to run as they feel the village needs new leadership. I agree. We need new leaders who will enthusiastically pursue fresh ideas and bring people together to find effective solutions.”

Maple said he will run a strong campaign focused on transparency in local government, making sure local tax dollars are spent efficiently for the village, and making it a workers-first campaign that will look at ideas and policies that can be implemented locally to benefit the working-class families in the village.

“Anyone who knows me, or my family, knows they have always been about supporting candidates and policies that have the best interest of the American worker at heart,” he said. “My campaign will be about moving West Lafayette into the 21st Century and pursuing policies that are pro-labor, pro-small business, and putting people first. We need people in office who are going to look out for their neighbors and fight the good fight.”

Maple is a longtime community activist involved in several local organizations in Coshocton County. He is a former candidate for State Representative and has helped multiple candidates in Coshocton on their campaigns. He is a 2012 graduate of Ridgewood High School.
