Betty J. Guilliams
Betty J. Guilliams, 94, of Coshocton passed away at Altercare of Coshocton on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
Betty was born on June 20, 1928, to the late Guy and Anna Leota (McConnell) Walters. Betty was a woman of strong faith and a member of the Burt Ave Wesleyan Church. She retired after working at Edmonts for twenty-three years and then spent her winters in Avon Park, Florida for over thirty years. She made lasting friends at Bonnet Lake Campground sharing activities, holidays, and many laughs together. She was lovingly called “Little Betty.” She enjoyed following Ohio State Football and traveling. Those who knew her were blessed by her strength and perseverance. She was a positive person who saw the sun peeking through on a cloudy day.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Patty Payne of North Canton; sisters Shirley (James) Hardesty, Alice Rodgers; sister-in-law Nellie Walters; many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings and their spouses, five brothers Robert (Norma), James (Mary Ann), Raymond “Duke”, Jerry “Jurd” (Rose), and Bill (Ada) Walters; two sisters, Carol Walters and Beatrice Walters; and her beloved dog “Max.”
A heartfelt “Thank You” to Dr. .Brenda Lozowski, to the wonderful staff at Community Hospice Truman House, Altercare of Coshocton, and to Racheal Selders, her caring Home Health Aide and special friend; their kindness will always be remembered.
Per Betty’s wishes, a cremation will take place.
Friends may call at the Burt Ave. Wesleyan Church, 230 Burt Ave., Coshocton on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 12:00 PM Noon – 1:00 PM where a memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating.
Interment of her cremated remains will follow in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens.
