Sue Ann Thomason

Sue Ann Thomason, 63, of West Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on August 30, 1959 to the late Lewis James and Carolyn Sue (Adams) Whitehair.

Sue Ann married Steven Thomason on September 13, 1975 and was a career artist. She enjoyed tole painting, beading, scrapbooking, and making greeting cards. She was a published author of 6 books about art, and owned several craft stores. She enjoyed attending craft shows, and won several ribbons at the Coshocton County Fair including best in show and first place ribbons. Sue Ann had a big YouTube and Instagram following of her crafting videos, and was in numerous magazines and calendars. She loved spending time with her grandkids, and many people called her Nanna.

Sue Ann is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Steven Thomason, and their children Heather (Richard) Hains, Tara Lee (Randy II) Hardesty, Sara (Matt) Cockerill, and Tyler (Natasha) Thomason. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Krista (Rafael) Thomason, Brady Hains, William Cockerill, and Randy Hardesty III (RJ). Sue Ann is also survived by her brother Jamie Whitehair, and her aunt Opal Whitehair. She is also leaving behind her beloved cat Fluffy. Sue Ann was preceded in death by her parents and sister Robin Lower.

Per Sue Ann’s wishes, a cremation will take place with burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sue Ann’s name to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023, or to the Coshocton County Humane Society, 499 Downtowner Plaza Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
