Work to begin again on State Route 16

| March 3, 2023

Work will be starting again soon on State Route 16. Motorists can expect a traffic switch on State Route 16 between Township Road 347 (Cleveland Cliff’s side) and Township Road 288 beginning Monday, March 13. At that time, State Route 16 will remain open to westbound traffic only through the work zone. Eastbound traffic will have to detour.

Beginning March 13, eastbound traffic will have to detour using State Route 16 to Sate Route 60 to State Route 541 to State Route 16. State Route 16 westbound traffic will have access to all local roadways through the two-mile zone. State Route 16 eastbound local traffic only will be able to turn left and right on Township Road 288.

Motorists are highly encouraged to use the posted detour unless considered local traffic between State Route 60 and State Route 288.

This project will replace the pavement on State Route 16 from the Muskingum County line to Spitler Drive intersection. Estimated project completion is Fall 2024.
