William G.”JR” Degarmo

William Gale “JR” Degarmo, age 61, went to live with the Lord on March 28, 2023 in his home surrounded by family.

He was born April 4, 1961 in Webster Springs, WV to Earl Everette and Cora (Cowger) Degarmo. He graduated from East Knox High School in 1979, and was a veteran of the United States Marines and Naval Reserves.

JR was the owner operator of JWT Trucking and loved to travel the open road with his dogs. He enjoyed spending time in Texas with his horses.

He is survived by his mother, Cora Degarmo; long term caretaker and nephew, Shawn Simpson; two children, Jesse and Teresa Degarmo; two stepchildren, Daniel Remley and Stacey Guyot, all of Texas; a brother Danny Degarmo; two sisters, Nora Degarmo and Mary Rambo; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Viewing will take place Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in New Castle Cemetery, with burial rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
