Accident reported on State Route 83
On April 20, at approximately 6:36 a.m. the sheriff’s office received a phone call in reference to an injury-accident involving two vehicles on State Route 83 at the intersection of County Road 476 in Tuscarawas Township.
Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that William R. Harrison, 30 years old, of Coshocton was traveling North on State Route 83 near the intersection of County Road 476, when he failed to negotiate a curve going left of center striking another vehicle head-on that was traveling South on State Route 83. The vehicle that was struck traveling southbound was being operated by Courtney A. Pepper, 30 years old, of Coshocton. Courtney was transported by emergency squad to Coshocton Genesis Hospital for the extent of her injuries. William was transported by emergency squad to the MedFlight base on Airport Road, where he was then flown by medical helicopter to Akron-General Hospital. Injuries for William are unknown at this time. This accident remains under investigation at this time.
Assisting the sheriff’s office on scene was Coshocton County EMS, Coshocton Fire Department, Three Rivers Fire District, Prince’s Wrecker Service, and REACT.
