Safety Town and swim lessons offered this summer

| June 3, 2023

What used to be known as Safety City is now called Coshocton County Safety Town and it will be held at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds. It will be June 14-22 (no weekends) with a class from 10 a.m. to noon and another from 6-8 p.m.

Safety Town is for children going into kindergarten this fall and each day will feature different safety trainings from bicycle safety to fire safety. The cost is $20 per child with children of military or first responders receiving a discount on the class. Sign up is in on the Facebook page or you can call Angie Moses with any questions at 740-502-4332 or email her at coop9097@yahoo.com.

Learn to Swim will be held at Lake Park Aquatic Center for children aged six years and up. The dates are July 10-21 in the evening and July 24-Aug. 4 in the morning.  The cost is $65 per child and some discounts are available. Moses is working on a website so people can sign up online, but you can also contact her for more information and to sign up.

Moses wanted to share that Sher Alloway has retired and is no longer involved with these programs. “I have taken over the programs to keep them in the county.  If any company would be interested in sponsorship or donating to our programs, please contact me.”
