Jeffrey Dee Pahoundis Sr.

Jeffrey Dee Pahoundis, Sr., age 58, of Coshocton passed away at his home on Friday, April 28, 2023 from colon cancer. Jeffrey was born in Coshocton, Ohio on September 17, 1964 to the late John Daniel Pahoundis, Sr. and Betty Lou Lane Pahoundis.  He moved to Coshocton from Pearl, Ohio in 2004. He was a mechanic and worked on his parents’ thoroughbred horse farm, repaired tractors and equipment and later with his brothers at Walhonding Recycling. He had also worked in oil fields, and in Tennessee as a bondsman and as a sealcoater at Mid Ohio Sealcoating & Paving until he retired. Jeffrey’s favorite pastimes were spending time outdoors, fishing, mushroom hunting and listening to music.

Jeffrey is survived by his son, Jeff Jr. of Ravenna, Ohio and former girlfriend Edith Hammons Sharke of Ravenna and her sons Curtis Hammons, Dale Sharke of Coshocton. Jeffrey was survived by his brothers John D. (Jacinda) Pahoundis II,  James and Joseph of Coshocton County; Julius of Zanesville, and sisters Debbie Beamer of Coshocton, Cynthia (Frederick) Rodgers of Dresden, Mary (Jeff) Laird and Teresa (Kelly) Barker of Utah; Sister-in-law Cari Cook Pahoundis; His aunts Grace E. Peel of Arizona, Nellie Marie (Wendell) Archer of Nashville, TN; Carol Sue Brown and uncles Wimpy Vinson of Akron, Raymond Odell Lane of Zanesville, Herbert Lane of Coshocton; his nephews/nieces  John “Daniel” Pahoundis II , Jocaesta, Julianna, Jarrett, Joseph, Jr.,  Jaydee Pahoundis; Michael Starner and Andy Parks of Coshocton County; Avery Baughman Pahoundis of Utica,  Lennie Beamer Bigler and Terry Beamer Bigler; Stephanie Rodgers of Brooklyn, NY, Emily and Samantha Rodgers of Columbus; Tyler, Brian and Derek Anderson, Tyson and Desiree Barker of Utah, Brett Meckley of Indiana and Chance (Kristen) Meckley of Coshocton; Carolyn Garrison of Alliance;  Betty Lou Cook Pahoundis of Grove City, great nieces Haley and Paitin Pahoundis, Eleanor and great nephew Sabastian Meckley of Coshocton,  and numerous cousins, relatives and friends including Stephen Jebb McKee, Herbie Dale Turner, Christina Howell, Zane Turner, Rick Davis, Ron Careins, Chuck Hines, Charolotte Hines, Charlie Smith, Jarome Starner and Amanda Starner, Janet Kreis Pahoundis, Trista Pahoundis and Dr. R. Dale Smith and neighbors Jerry and Jane Kirkbride, Bob and Christine Wright, and former co-workers.

Along with his parents, Jeffrey is preceded in death by his youngest sister Elizabeth Joanne Meckley, brother Jerry D. Pahoundis, brother-in-laws Leonard L. Beamer and great-nephew Daniel Ray Pahoundis and friend Okey Lockhart.
