Myra Pauline (Walker) Colton
Myra Pauline (Walker) Colton, age 94, of Acworth, Georgia, formally of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023.
She was born in West Lafayette, Ohio on May 28, 1929, to the late Lewis and Gertrude (Brokaw) Walker. Myra graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1947. On December 28, 1947, she married Albert Sidney Colton who passed away on December 6, 2010.
Myra started her career as an administrative assistant for The Shaw-Barton corporation, went on to work in the Coshocton County Treasurer’s Office, and eventually retired as an assistant to the Coshocton County Commissioners. She was a member of the Coshocton Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. She enjoyed sewing, making crafts, painting, shopping and spending time with her family. She will be truly missed by her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Stacy (Bob) Wylie of Dacula, Georgia and Kim (Ben) Speciale of Kennesaw, Georgia; four grandchildren, Jessica Wylie, Matthew Wylie, Natalie Speciale and Abigail Speciale; two great-grandchildren, Riley Wylie and Isabella Wylie; and one sister, Evelyn Maurer of West Lafayette.
Along with her parents and husband, Myra is preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Walker Jr. and Richard Walker.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette, Ohio.
