First responders event scheduled
ASK (Acceptance, Support, Knowledge) Autism is sponsoring a First Responder Event on Tuesday, July 18 from 6-7 p.m. at Hopewell School on Airport Road.
Coshocton City Fire Department is bringing the smoke house, and everyone will have a turn to go through it. There will be a fire truck, EMS and sheriff’s deputy and everyone will be able to learn more about each emergency vehicle.
The hope is that the more children are exposed to and learn about first responders, the more they will understand that first responders are there to help in an emergency. Organizers also hope that children who need help will understand who they can turn to for assistance.
This is a community event, not just for those with special needs. Everyone is welcome. Check Facebook/ASK Autism for possible cancellation if the weather looks bad or text Jen at 740-502-1664.
