Clarice R. Bowers

Clarice R. (Bucklew) Bowers, 93, died Thursday, July 6, 2023 at her residence.

She was born Oct. 20, 1929 in Mohawk to the late William Emmett and Mary Ellen (Stahl) Bucklew. She was an agent for Knoll Real Estate for many years, and a former employee for the Coshocton Co. Clerk of Courts.

Clarice was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Max W. Bowers of Coshocton, whom she married May 31, 1949; two children, Kim (Leslie) Bowers of Warsaw, and Dixie (Larry) Frye of Fredericktown; seven grandchildren, Mike (Dawn) Booth, Nichole Bowers, Ben (Christine) Bowers, Jeremiah Frye, Jennifer (Andrew) Smith, Levin (Josh) Guilliams, and Layne (Brandon) Wheeler; eight great-grandchildren, Anthony, Rachel, & Joseph Booth, Lexa, Layla, & Jax Guilliams, and Katie & Locklin Wheeler; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence A. Bucklew; and four sisters, Thelma Endsley, Helen Crowthers, Ethel Endsley, and Marjorie Stubbs.

Visitation will start at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2023 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Valley View Cemetery. Pastor Ron Davis will officiate. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
