Coshocton Pickleball Club holding free family event
Families with children age 8 and up are invited to a family fun day sponsored by the Coshocton Pickleball Club on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 2-4 p.m. at Kids America.
The event is to share the sport of pickleball with the community. “We plan on teaching children and parents, grandparents and guardians alike the sport,” said Cathie Akins on behalf of the organizers of the event. “We have all 10 courts reserved at Kids America.”
“It is our hope to show families how this sport can foster togetherness and a healthy outlet for children and parents alike,” said Akins.
They are planning to have a Battle of the Badges at 3:30 p.m. featuring teams from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Department and local fire departments, if they are available. They are hoping to see military and veteran families, too. There will be door prizes and pizza will be served at 4 p.m.
