Larry Gene Murray
Larry Gene Murray, age 76, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1947, in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Fay and Martha (Muster) Murray.
He graduated from Coshocton High School in 1965 and was a Boiler Operator at AEP for over 20 years until his retirement. On December 21, 1967, he married Sheryl (Miller) Murray.
Larry was a life member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and later faithfully attended Central Christian Church. He was a longtime member of the Coshocton Elks. Larry enjoyed camping, golfing, bowling, racing pigeons and collected almost everything. He will truly be missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his two sons, Scott (Audrey Lonsinger) Murray of Coshocton and Kyle (Debby) Murray of West Lafayette; three grandchildren, Justin Murray, Brittany Hayes and Alaina Williams; four great-grandchildren, Masyn, Holdyn, Owyn, and Nova; sister, Judy (Charles) Hutchison of Missouri; sister-in-law, Shelley Miller of Pennsylvania and niece, Susan Ward of Missouri.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents and dear wife Sheryl who passed away on November 16, 2015.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Given-Dawson Paisley Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Stewart Royce officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
