CRMC receives ‘A’ grade from The Leapfrog Group
Coshocton Regional Medical Center received an “A” grade in the fall 2023 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing Coshocton Regional Medical Center’s achievements in protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents, and infections.
“An ‘A’ Safety Grade is one of the largest reflections of the priority we place on patient safety at our facility,” said Stephanie Conn, chief executive officer. “This is a great achievement, and we are very proud of our healthcare team for always putting the patient first.”
Coshocton Regional Medical Center, a Fortune and IBM Watson Health Top 100 Hospital in 2021, adds this achievement to their recent Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award in addition to being named among the Top 10% in the Nation for Patient Safety for four years in a row.
The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization, assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over thirty national performance measures reflecting errors, injuries, accidents, and infections, as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on hospital prevention of medical errors and harms to patients. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
