Norma Shroyer

Norma Shroyer, 84, of Fresno, passed away at her home in Sunday, November 12, 2023. She was born on July 9, 1939 in Fresno to the late Cletis and Helen (Ross) Hamilton. She graduated high school and a year later, married the love of her life, Jim Shroyer on June 14, 1958, who survives. She worked as a homemaker, raising her children, gardening, cooking, sewing, and taking care of the home. She loved to garden and canning the fruits of her labor, even doing so up until her last days. She and Jim, owned and operated Ji-No Swiss Farm and she took care of the fiscal operations as well. Later in life, Norma and Jim traveled all over the country and the world, visiting, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Alaska to name a few. They led a blessed and fulfilled life. Norma was a member of the Fresno United Methodist Church and was active in the Fresno United Methodist Women’s Group. She was a member of the Fresno Sorosis since 1976 and also served as the fiscal officer for Crawford Township.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Connie Ridenbaugh of Fresno, Donna Fouch of Gulfport, FL., and James B. (Nicole) Shroyer of Fresno; grandchildren, Brent (Heather) Huff, Justin Wade Huff, Randi (Clay) Cutshall, Tori Ridenbaugh, KJ (Brittnay) Mason, Hannah (Doug) Mullens, Alana Shroyer and Reed Shroyer; two great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Leann) Hamilton as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harold (Peggy) Hamilton.

Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home on Wednesday. November 15, 2023 from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating.
