Deputies take man with warrant into custody

On Dec. 6, at 12:33 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a call that a male with a warrant was at the address of 315 S. Fourth St. in the city of Coshocton. While deputies were enroute to the location, dispatch advised that the caller was arguing with the male.

Upon arrival of deputies, dispatch advised that the male in question was now keeping the female inside the apartment and not letting her to the door to unlock it. It was advised that the male had several weapons in the apartment and was threating the female along with the deputies.

Deputies made entry into the residence where they located the male holding the female hostage in the corner of the apartment. The female was able to free herself, where deputies then deployed the K-9 and taser to subdue the suspect. The suspect was then taken into custody without further incident. The female denied EMS. The male suspect was treated and released on scene by EMS and transported for Coshocton County Justice Center for his warrant.

The suspects name is being withheld until filing of formal charges for this incident

Assisting at the scene was the Coshocton County EMS, Coshocton County Prosecutors Office, and Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Detective’s Division.
