Patricia Marie Carroll
Patricia Marie Carroll, age 68, of Coshocton, OH passed away on December 4, 2023. She was born on September 4,1955 and graduated from Coshocton High School in 1974. She went on to receive a degree in accounting after studying at Franklin University and Central Ohio Technical College.
First and foremost, Patricia loved the Lord. She was a dedicated member of the New Life Ministries church; a prayer warrior who committed her life to empowering those around her in her faith and love of Jesus Christ.
Patricia found boundless joy in surrounding herself with those she loved.
She is survived by brothers John A. Tate and Mark Stevens. Children Ivan Rice, Ian (Haylee) Rice, Dustin (Tiffany) Carroll, Dezarae Carroll, Stevie Carroll, Chris (Kelli) Pitre, Totyanna Johnson, Marcus Carroll, Xavier (Brittaney) Carroll, Trustin Hernandez, Lilly Carroll, Jacob Carroll as well as countless other children that she loved as if they were her own. Patricia has 19 grandchildren and, one great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by cousins Debra Taylor, Donna Williams, Charlene Bussey, Margaret Swanson, and Sharon Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her mother Clarice Tate, stepfather William ‘O’ Tate and father William Stevens II as well as siblings Carolyn Newell, William (Butch) Tate Jr., Daniel Tate and William (Bill) Stevens.
It is impossible to capture Patricia’s life in a paragraph. Choosing to stay in Coshocton after graduation to care for her aging parents, she spent time working as an accountant, often in industrial settings in Coshocton. Patricia became a foster mother 22 years ago, impacting the lives of over 90 children who came into her home. When speaking on the children she cared for, she often described this relationship as “they are all my kids. I love all of them.” She also worked in home health care where, more often than not, clients also came home to become part of the family.
Join us in celebrating the joy and love of Patricia’s life. Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home on Saturday, December 9th from 11-12pm with the funeral service commencing at 12:00pm with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Repass to follow (location tbd). In lieu of gifts, we ask that you consider making a donation to New Life Ministries Church; envelopes will available at the funeral home.
