Thomas Lee “Tom” Ganz

Thomas Lee “Tom” Ganz, 74, of Newcomerstown, formerly of Coshocton, passed away at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown on Sunday December 17, 2023.

Tom was born in Grove City, Ohio on September 19, 1949, to the late Ernest “Bud” and Thelma (Gregg) Ganz. Tom graduated from Bishop Ready High School in Columbus and served in the U.S Army National Guard. He attended lineman school before moving to Coshocton to work for Columbus and Southern Power in Conesville before being promoted into the control room.

Tom was so proud to be a part of Alcoholics Anonymous for thirty-five years having just earned his thirty-five-year coin.  He traveled all over Ohio speaking and helping others with addiction, Tom would even provide rides to meetings for those needing one.

He is survived by his son Jason (Jennifer) Ganz of Columbus; daughter Stacey (Michelle) Ganz of Coshocton; three grandchildren; one sister Patricia (Joe) Gaietto of Surprise, AZ; an aunt Margorie Gray of Grove City; one niece and one nephew.

A Celebration of Life for Tom will be held at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday December 21, 2023, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM where a memorial service will begin at 6:00 PM with Deacon Doug Mould officiating.

Tom’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Crossroads Hospice and Riverside Manor for their compassionate, loving care of their Dad.
