Pedestrian dies in accident
On Jan. 10, 2024 at 1 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a vehicle vs pedestrian accident that occurred in a parking lot located at 830 S. Second St. in Coshocton.
Sheriff deputies along with other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene and an investigation into this accident began. During this investigation it was learned by deputies that 58-year-old Craig A. Affolter of Coshocton was walking through the parking lot and fell in front of a vehicle being operated by 88-year-old Darlene H. Dryer Taylor of Coshocton. Taylor’s vehicle then struck Affolter causing him to be pinned under the vehicle. Affolter was pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel.
Assisting on the scene were Coshocton County EMS, Coshocton Fire Department, Coshocton County Coroner’s Office, and Princes Wrecker Service.
