It’s time to sign up for ball at River View
River View Recreation will hold softball and baseball signups Monday, Feb. 12 from 5:30-7 p.m. at River View Intermediate School and Thursday, Feb. 22 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Coshocton McDonalds.
Registration fee is $40 for one child, $70 for two children, or $85 for three or more children ($85 is max/family). Make checks or money orders payable to River View Recreation.
All registrations must be received by Friday, Feb. 23. Late registrations may not be accepted if teams are full. A $10 late fee will be charged per late registration and there is a $35 returned check fee.
Each child must participate in at least one fundraiser or buyout of fundraiser for $40.
Tee Ball is for boys and girls, ages 4-6. They cannot be 7 years old before May 1, 2024. Baseball ages are Coach pitch, cannot be 9 years old before May 1, 2024, minor league, cannot be 11 years old before May 1, 2024, major league, cannot be 13 years old before May 1, 2024. Major league will play in the MVL Rec league this season. For questions contact Nic Carey at 740-502-6375. Softball will follow USA Softball rules and age requirements. Age requirements for the 2024 season are: 8U, birthdates Sept. 1, 2014, and younger, cannot be 9 by Sept. 1, 2023, 10U birthdates Sept. 1, 2012 – Aug. 31, 2014, cannot be 11 by Sept. 1, 2023, and 12U birthdates Sept. 1, 2010 – Aug. 31, 2012, cannot be 13 by Sept. 1, 2023. A child may play up in a league with older children, but they may not play down with younger children. Once a child moves up, they cannot play back down the following year. Should any issues arise, you may be asked to provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate to prove their age.
