Sally E. Everhart
Sally E. Everhart, a master chef in the kitchen of life and a cultivator of love and laughter, has hung up her apron one final time. Born on August 13, 1947, in Coshocton, Ohio, Sally’s zest for life was as contagious as her signature dishes. On February 17, 2024, in the comforting embrace of her family, Sally peacefully took her leave from this world, as naturally as one of her flawless family dinners came to a close.
Sally, known for her culinary largesse, never met a hungry soul she didn’t feed or a frown she couldn’t flip upside down. Her husband, David L. Everhart whom she married August 14, 1965, was the lucky man who not only won her heart but also scored a lifetime of second helpings. Together, they created a legacy of love with their children Vickie (Todd) McMorris of West Lafayette, Sherry (Tony) Garrison of Middleburg, FL and Tammy (Bill) Hartsock of West Bedford, are the trio of daughters who inherited Sally’s recipe for mirth and merriment.
Sally is also survived by her grandchildren Cory Garrison, Briana (Ryan) Conkle, Susie Prater, Shelbi Harris, Sheyenne Harris and William Harris Jr. were the apples of her eye, and the six great-grandchildren, who were the sprinkles on her life’s cupcake.
Sally was the beloved sister of Patsy Robinson of Coshocton; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Pauline (Miller) Robinson, and brothers, Jimmy and Bob Robinson, had previously taken their seats at the heavenly dinner table, no doubt saving a place for Sally.
She loved spending time in her flower beds and garden and taking care of her special canine buddy, Tucker, who was both her shadow and her confidant.
She left us all with a blueprint for how to love fiercely, laugh heartily, and cook like every meal is a feast. Her absence will be felt in the empty chairs at family gatherings, the quiet of the kitchen after a holiday meal, and the serene garden that will miss her tender touch.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Valley View Cemetery, Warsaw.
