Mary Elizabeth (Cross) Albertson
Together Again
Mary Elizabeth (Cross) Albertson, age 97, of Coshocton, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was born in Coshocton on September 12, 1926, to the late John and Bertie (Cunningham) Cross.
She graduated from Roscoe High School in 1945 and then married Harold Albertson on May 11, 1946. Together they owned and operated Mary and Harold’s Restaurant on Main Street for several years. Mary attended Roscoe United Methodist Church and worked for Brungart’s, Ames and the Canal Co. in Roscoe.
Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
She is survived by her three children, Michael (Sharon) Albertson of Columbus, Randy (Linda) Albertson of Coshocton and Kristy (Greg) Lillibridge of Coshocton; five grandchildren Kim (Tim), Travis (Alba), Tyler (Stephanie), Ryan (Courtney) and Michelle (Cory); eight great-grandchildren, Alexis, Meagan (Kyle), Cody, Allan, Kolby, Gavin, Landon and Tinsley.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Harold of 70 years; her grandson, Rusty; sister, Ruth Murphy, and three brothers, Jim, Lester, and John Cross Jr.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Roscoe Cemetery. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
