Community scan day planned at museum

| April 21, 2024

Memories are precious, and sometimes our personal collections do not survive over the years. Join the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum for a community scan day on Saturday, May 4 from noon to 3 p.m. to preserve your items.

Register for $5 for a 20-minute time slot to bring up to 25 items (no larger than 11 x 17) such as old family photos, documents, or letters to the museum. Staff will digitize your treasures, give them back to you, and provide you with a USB flash drive containing the copies. For historical preservation, some selected scans may be chosen by JHM staff and preserved in JHM’s digital archives. Please note that slides will not be accepted during this event due to time constraints.

Registration is open now. You may register by visiting the museum, calling 740-622-8710, or visiting jhmuseum.org/scan-day to select your 20-minute time slot. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village at 300 N. Whitewoman St. in Coshocton. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
