Lloyd Howard Bantum

Lloyd Howard Bantum, 88, of West Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his home.

He was born February 22, 1936, at Coshocton Hospital to Fred and Geraldine (Howard) Bantum.

Lloyd graduated from Coshocton High School in 1953 and later attended Kent State University where he majored in Education and Business. Following college, he served in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division stationed in Germany. Upon completing his time in the service, Lloyd was employed by Pretty Products Inc. until his retirement after 37 years.

Affectionately known as “Moose”, Lloyd was an avid golfer, playing in multiple leagues with friends and coworkers. He was most proud of scoring two “Holes in One” and a “Double Eagle.”

Lloyd also had a love for baseball and earned a spot on the Kent State baseball team as a walk on. He also enjoyed vacationing in Florida, the quiet of living in the country, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving Lloyd are his wife of sixty years, Sandra (Eiler) Bantum; brother Gary (Carole) Bantum; children Matthew (Charlotte) Bantum, Brett (Melissa) Bantum, and Misty (Todd) Friel; grandchildren; Laiken, Colton, Jaiden, Beau, Jensen, Aubree, and Jaxson; brother in law Steve (Shirley) Eiler of Texas and several nieces and a nephew.

Per Lloyd’s wishes, there will be no public services. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
