| June 19, 2024

The Center for Cancer Health Equity and OSUCCC James Cancer will present its Mobile Mammography Unit at Coshocton Public Health District on Monday, July 1.

The mobile unit provides the opportunity for people to receive a breast cancer screening closer to home. It’s also a great resource for those who may be uninsured or underinsured with no established

physician.

The mobile unit will be located in the main parking lot at the Coshocton Public Health District. They are only here for one day on Monday, July 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You must call in advance to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will not be welcome. In order to schedule an appointment, call Angie Medina at 614-293-6924.

Eligibility Criteria: Women who do not have breast symptoms, are not pregnant or nursing, with no previous breast cancer. You must be at least 40 years of age to have a screening mammogram. Women who are under the age of 40 would need to have a written order from their doctor. Women will be screened for eligibility for the breast and cervical cancer project (BCCP) which will cover the cost at 100%.

It is the mission of Coshocton Public Health, to ensure equitable access to care, prevent diseases, promote healthy behaviors and protect the well-being and health environment for all community members.

This program is sponsored by The James at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.
