Ruth E. Marquand

Ruth E. Marquand, 84, of Coshocton, passed away on Thursday July 4, 2024, at Altercare of Coshocton with her loving family by her side.

Ruth was born on August 24, 1939, in Coshocton County to the late O.L. “Joe” & Lena (Ward) Arnold.

She retired from Ansel Edmont after working for over forty-five years and was a consultant for The Longaberger Company for many years.  Ruth was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Coshocton Quilt Guild. Ruth also enjoyed sewing, working in her yard, gardening and being a Pink Lady at Coshocton County Regional Medical Center.  She loved listening to the Irish singer, Daniel O’Donnell.

Ruth is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sheri (Dick) Lyons, Sharon (Ron) Hoxworth, Renee Croft, Becky (Brett) Young, Chris (Jan) Arnold and Joleen (David) Viront; a special friend and neighbor, Hazel McCormick; numerous great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Marquand; two brothers William Ward Arnold and Harry Q. Arnold and a twin sister Grace Marie Croft.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday July 8, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  Funeral services for Ruth will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Deb Quillen officiating.

Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church and/or Interim Hospice; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
