Una Sue Clapper

Una Sue Clapper, 95, formerly of Philo, passed away peacefully at her home in Fresno, Ohio on July 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and under the compassionate care of Ohio’s Hospice Life Care.

Born on May 28, 1929, in Roseville, Ohio, Una was the daughter of Harlan Stanley and Olive Nellie (Anderson) Anders. She dedicated many years of her life caring for others, serving as a certified health care worker until the age of 80. In her free time, Una enjoyed crocheting, reading, and caring for her beloved cats.

Una is survived by her daughter, Jeanne McKinney; her grandsons, Dustin (Kelley) Clapper and Tony (Amanda) Clapper; several great-grandchildren; and her brother, Wallace (Christine) Anders. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Clapper (January 1, 2002); her son, Jon Clapper (2004); her son-in-law, James McKinney (2018); her sister, Sally Laughery; and her brothers, Harley Stanley Anders Jr. and Gary Anders Sr.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. Pastor Rod Uhlig will officiate the service. Una will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
