Dana A. Cheney, 59, of Coshocton passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at Signature Healthcare in Coshocton.  He was born in Coshocton, Ohio on July 7, 1965, to the late Charles Cheney and Sonja Sondles.

Dana was an accountant by trade, but a drummer and drum maker at heart. He played with several local bands, including Rare Vintage, Voyager, Traces, and Twist of Fate. He especially enjoyed his time playing drums and worshipping God at North Terrace Church of Christ, Zanesville, Ohio, while his health allowed. Dana made drums under the company name of Medicine Man Custom Drums because he felt drums held a healing power with nature. He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the San Franscisco 49ers, and Cleveland Guardians.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, your school’s music program, or your local animal shelter.

The family asks that everyone wear casual attire to the services for Dana.
