Gregory Yurjevic
Gregory Yurjevic, age 74, of Coshocton passed away on September 8, 2024 at his home. The son of the late Phyllis (Brenneman) and Samuel Yurjevic, he was born on February 25, 1950 in Coshocton. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree and taught at Coshocton High School, teaching Health and Gym. He was passionate about Driver’s Education and has taught hundreds of young drivers in our community over 30 years. Along with teaching he also coached football, wrestling and soccer at Coshocton, having many successful seasons. In his free time, he regularly held season tickets to Columbus Crew games and OSU Wrestling. At home, he was a collector of many things. He enjoyed finding unique Pez dispensers. He was a member of the Coshocton Elks Lodge and the Grace United Methodist Church. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul and was loved by many.
Greg is survived by his children, Ryan (Tonya) Yurjevic and Christopher Yurjevic; grandchildren, Cameron and Chezney Yurjevic, Michaela, Kristina and Paige Luikart and Liam Yurjevic; siblings, Vicki Jamison, Georganne Yurjevic, Tina (Gary) Johns, Betty Jo (Terry) Russell, Sam (Sandy) Yurjevic and Phillip Yurjevic as well as his previous spouse of 42 years, Christy Yurjevic.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Foster.
Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm and an hour before the service. The Coshocton Elks Lodge will perform a service at 6:45pm to end the calling hours. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11am with Pastor Deb Quillen officiating.
