Attendance doubles at Christmas Carnival
The Second annual Santa’s Christmas Carnival was held Dec. 7 in the Coshocton Community Room. Attendance almost doubled with 120 children signed up this year compared to about 76 children last year.
The Christmas Carnival fundraiser supports the Courthouse Illumination Project. Children really enjoyed playing in the giant snow globe. The event offered numerous activities for the children to enjoy including a bounce house, balloons, the Grinch was there being “Grinchy” giving out hugs and kisses. The kiddos enjoyed playing games, cookie decorating, candy, hot chocolate and donuts, an ornament craft and photo opportunities. Mr. and Mrs. Santa were talking with the children and posing for photo ops.
Brianna Fink was showing children how to make reindeer food, putting it into a baggie to take home and use on Christmas Eve.
“We are making reindeer food for when they fly in on Christmas Eve. I love Christmas, so I signed up to help with the Coshocton High School Key Club and I am trying to spread the Christmas Spirit around,” Fink said.
The event was sponsored by Coshocton Regional Medical Center.
