Marjorie Robin (May) Jones
Marjorie Robin (May) Jones, 100, passed away at home on Friday January 3, 2025.
Marjorie was born in Cleveland on March 8, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Christina (Baptie) May. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1943, and on August 13, 1946, she was married to James Alexander Jones, who passed away on February 15, 2011. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Jones; and her brother, Charles May. She was a longtime member of Happy Neighbors and Ohio Bell Campers, and was also a member of the Keene Hill Grange and the Keene United Methodist Church, and a former member of Cleveland Jaycees and numerous clubs in New Jersey.
She loved cooking for family, and was a talented artist who loved crafting. Marjorie and Jim shared a lifelong passion for traveling with their RV across the country and enjoyed many years of flying their private plane across the country. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was always ready to prepare a homecooked meal or give a cookie to the grandkids.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Debra Endsley; five grandchildren, Jocelyn (Robert) Mulvaney, Chad (Katy) Endsley, Todd (Leanne) Endsley, Nicholas Jones, and Barry (Elaine) Jones; great grandchildren, Caroline, Lily, & Austin Endsley, Noelle, Kinsley, & Reed Mulvaney, Adalynn, Grayson, Eloise, & Ethan Endsley, and Lacy Jones
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, at the Keene United Methodist Church. Pastor Paula Marbury will officiate. Burial will follow in Keene Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time.
