Edward “Skip” Lukander Jr.

Edward “Skip” Lukander Jr. age 78, of Coshocton passed away at his home on February 9, 2025. He was born in Connecticut to the late Edward and Ida (Sysma) Lukander Sr. He was a graduate of San Pedro High School, California and entered the service after graduation. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his community for 41 years as a mail carrier. He started his career in California and ended in Coshocton. Skip had the same route for over 20 years and always looked forward to the relationships he built on his route. He was a member of the Amvets of Coshocton and American Legion in Dresden.

He is survived by his children, Jolene (Steve) Hendershott of Nashport, Amanda (Chris) Spinks of Dresden, Joshua (Angela) Lukander of Nashport and Brandon Lukander of Dresden; grandchildren, Lakyn, Mady, Trevor, Jadyn, Trenton, Kyler, Cady, Draven, Alonna and Ayden; great grandchildren, Hayes and Nelli; siblings, Ruth Deforge of California and Jeannie Casali of New Mexico as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Bubbies.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Lillian Grise, Shirley Gauthier and William “Bill” Lukander.

The family will have a celebration of life on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 2pm to 4pm at the Coshocton Amvets Post 36. The Coshocton Honor Guard will perform Military Honors at 2pm to begin the celebration.
