Robert “Bob” James Worthington
Robert “Bob” James Worthington, age 78, of West Lafayette, died Monday, February 17, 2025 at Genesis Coshocton Medical Center. He was born July 24, 1946 to Charles and Mary (Morosko) Worthington in Tyndall, Ohio.
In 1980, Bob began working as an Auxiliary Deputy at the Sheriff’s Department, and spent 8 years serving the community. He also had a career as a Dip Line Operator at Ansell, where he worked for over 30 years. In 2001, he began working at Kwik Fill, and eventually retired in 2017.
In his younger years, Bob enjoyed camping and racing cars, specifically at Hill Top and Muskingum Speedway, coaching softball, and leading the Conesville Boy Scouts. He also loved sitting on the porch, and spending time with family. He especially delighted in being a Pappy to his grandson Mason, the light of his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Deeann (Brittney) Worthington, grandson, Mason Guilliams, and their cats, Max and Jackson, all of Coshocton. He is also survived by his brothers, John Worthington of Millersburg and Charlie Worthington of Coshocton, in addition to his special cousin Butch Huber, and former wife, Anna Jenkins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home.
