Nutrition fair to be held in community room

| March 5, 2025

The Coshocton County WIC Program will host its annual nutrition fair at the Coshocton County Community Room on Thursday, March 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Food Connects Us” will be this year’s theme. The nutrition fair will feature nutritious food samples, prizes, hands-on activities, and more. Car seat checks and booster seats will be available upon request. Come and get your picture taken with special guest Bluey.

This event will take place at the Coshocton County Community Room located at 637 Chestnut St. in Coshocton. Parking is available at the Coshocton Public Health District and at the lot beside the First Baptist Church. The event is free and open to the public.

“WIC looks forward to celebrating National Nutrition Month® every year in March. One of the main goals of WIC is to provide ongoing nutrition education throughout the various stages of growth. With help from Ohio Snap-Ed/OSU Extension Coshocton County, Head Start/Early Head Start, and the Coshocton Regional Medical Center, we are able to expand that education into the entire community,” said Brittany Taylor, director of WIC.

The Women, Infants, and Children program (WIC) provides nutrition education, healthy foods, breastfeeding support and healthcare referrals for income eligible: pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, non-breastfeeding and bereaved mothers up to six months post-partum, and infants/children up to age 5.

Coshocton Regional Medical Center and CareSource sponsorship makes this event possible.
