John William “Bill” Fox
John William “Bill” Fox, 84, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 7, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Born August 10, 1940 in Coshocton, he was the son of the late John H. and Edith R. (Hains) Fox. He was a 1958 graduate of Warsaw High School. He served in the US Air Force from August 8, 1958 to June 18, 1962. Prior to his retirement, he was a Letter Carrier for the Coshocton Post Office. He also worked part-time for Royce Craft Baskets. He was a member of Coshocton Lodge #96 F&AM, American Legion Post #65, Amvets Post #36, and the Coshocton Eagles. He was an avid trapshooter and hunter, and a lifetime member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kay D. (Spurgeon) Fox, whom he married Jan. 22, 1961; his son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Fox; and his daughter, Sandra (Shawn) Nicholson. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by three grandchildren, Morgan McCloud, Shelby Nicholson, and Nathan (Kaylin) Nicholson; two great-grandchildren, Valerie and Reagan Nicholson; his brother, Gerald H. (Shirley) Fox; his sisters, Marilyn G. (Dennis) Reidenbach and Wilma J. Bible; his sister-in-law, Connie S. Fox; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert D. Fox; his brother-in-law, James N. Bible; his nephew, Brian N. Bible; and his niece, Kelly L. Fox.
