Alexis C. Hackenbracht
WEST LAFAYETTE- Alexis Colleen (Lawson) Hackenbracht, 59, of CR 410, died Tuesday July 16, 2013 at her residence after a three year illness.
She was born Feb. 18, 1954 in Coshocton to the late Claude L. and Adelaide Marcella (Akins) Lawson. She worked in the shipping department at Novelty Advertising and retired after 39 years of service. She was a member of Shepherd’s Christian Assembly Church.
Alexis was well known for her cooking and baking for family gatherings, and especially for her homemade ice cream. She was an enthusiastic fan of NASCAR, as well as the Cleveland Browns, Cavs, Indians, and THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Hackenbracht of West Lafayette, whom she married April 6, 2007. She is also survived by a daughter, Lindsay Lowe, and a son, Derek Lowe, both of Canal Lewisville, two step-daughters; Erin (Josh Williams) Wolford of Zanesville, and Megan (Dustin) Haywood of Coshocton, one step-son, Nathan (Lindsey) Hackenbracht of West Lafayette, one grandson, Cohyn, five step-grandchildren; Asher, Ephraim, Oliver, Trey, and Mayda, a sister, Raine Lawson of Corning, two brothers; Garney Lawson of Canal Lewisville, and Ben Lawson of Coshocton, local aunt Janet and uncle Bob Akins, aunt Janice Akins, and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an uncle, Charles “Buss” Akins, and a special sister-in-law, Lisa Colon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 20, 2013 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Starkey Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Canal Lewisville Cemetery.
