Museum offers customized children’s programs
COSHOCTON – The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is offering customized children’s programs to suit your group’s needs. Choose a date, time, and length for your program, and the museum will do its best to meet your needs. Activities can be geared to all age groups. New program themes will be offered each quarter of the year. Costs of program will vary depending on the art or craft project.
Basketry will be the topic for July through September. Participants will get an overview of the craft through JHM’s American Indian basketry collection. Types of weave, materials and basket designs will be introduced. Then participants will weave their own basket. Cost for this session is $45 for up to eight people. Additional participants are $5 each.
The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Roscoe Village at 300 N. Whitewoman St. The museum is open daily from noon to 5 p.m. Call the museum to arrange your customized children’s program at 622-8710. The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
