King Midget Ohio Chapter gathers in Coshocton

| July 19, 2013

COSHOCTON – King Midget cars were once marketed as the world’s number one fun car and Phil Shearrow couldn’t agree more with that.

“The looks you get are unreal,” he said. “Very few people don’t laugh or smile when they see you.”

Members of the King Midget Ohio Chapter gathered together July 19-20 in Coshocton and cruised around the county.

The cars were made from 1946-1970 by Midget Motor Corp. in Athens.

“Once you buy one you are hooked,” said Cindy Hickman who traveled from Cambridge with her husband to enjoy the group’s July gathering.

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
