Pomerene hosts camp for preschoolers
COSHOCTON – The Ms. Rachel’s Studio-Summer Camp will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 5-9, at the Pomerene Center for the Arts.
The camp is for preschoolers, 3-5-years old. Cost is $45 for Friends of the Pomerene and $50 for guests. Need-based scholarships are available.
The camp focuses on the Reggio Emilia philosophy of encouraging children to explore, create, think and play and will start the week by asking questions like how do we get in and make this space ours? What makes a home for something very small, like a fairy or an elf? What about a home for something bigger like us, under the bushes?
Using chalk, tree roots, found objects, paint, cardboard boxes, clay and rocks the young artists will explore and create their answers.
