First farm to table dinner a success

| August 26, 2013

COSHOCTON – The first Farm to Table dinner, sponsored by Local Bounty and Clary Gardens, was deemed a success with 35 in attendance.

The event was held Saturday evening, Aug. 24 on the patio at Clary Gardens. A dinner entrée of roasted herb pork loin with beurre blanc sauce, roast beef with merlot reduction sauce or stuffed pepper with cheese and herbs as a vegetarian option was served with grilled summer vegetable medley and roasted red skin potatoes along the side. For dessert, a mixed berry crumble with homemade vanilla ice cream was served as the August sun sank lower in the western sky.

All of the food was locally sourced and prepared. The dinner plates and tablecloths used at the event came from thrift stores and were located by Brenda Berry.
