Donald J. ‘Don’ Elson

elsonDonald J. “Don” Elson, 49, of West Lafayette passed away at his home on Sunday September 15, 2013.

Don was born to the late Donald J. and Janice M. (Booth) Elson in Coshocton on April 20, 1964.

He graduated from Coshocton High School in 1983, had worked at Clow Water Systems for fourteen years. He was a member of Coshocton Eagles and the Coshocton Sportsman Club. Don loved spending time with his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife JoLea Hardesty Cognion; two sons Brandon (Sunni) Elson of West Lafayette and Dusten (Ashley) Elson of Coshocton; step daughter Milena Cognion of West Lafayette; a brother Jim Elson of Canal Lewisville; two grandchildren Kohen and Easton; several aunts and uncles.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death two infant brothers Larry and Jerry.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday September 18, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Funeral services for Don will be at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County “Hospice” and/or New Life Ministries, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
