bulb planting2COSHOCTON – Fifth graders Gavin Celeschi and Donald Kaser helped plant daffodil bulbs Nov. 6 outside Coshocton Elementary.

The project was a joint effort between Coshocton is Blooming and the city school district. Volunteers dug up several thousand of the bulbs that were planted at Lincoln Elementary to bring part of the old schools to the new one.

“The daffodils were at Lincoln for a long time and a part of a lot of students lives and we wanted to keep that going,” said Connie Miller from Coshocton is Blooming.

I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
