Martin002WARSAW- Charles Russell Martin, 84, of US 36, died Monday Nov. 18, 2013 at the Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

He was born Sept. 19, 1929 in Coshocton Co. to the late Verlie J. and Mildred (Williamson) Martin.  He served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1951-1953.  He was a long distance truck driver for over 51 years, retiring at the age of 76.  He was a member of the Coshocton American Legion Post #65, Coshocton AmVets Post #36, Killbuck V.F.W. Post #7079, and the Warsaw United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Harriet (Kanuckel) Martin, whom he married July 22, 1951, two brothers-in-law; Raymond Tumblin of Fresno, and Jim (June) Kanuckel of Warsaw, nieces and nephews; Debbie (Harvey) Addy of Coshocton, Denise Tumblin of Columbus, Alan Tumblin of Doubling Gap, PA, Brenda (Denny) Blanford of Warsaw, and Dave (Shannon) Kanuckel of Pearl River, LA, and several great nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Tumblin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis and Rev. John Rahter officiating.  Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co.
