COSHOCTON – Shirley Crowthers Davis, 75, of Adams Street died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville.

She was born July 17, 1938 in Coshocton County to the late Arthur Ray “Doc” and Maxine (Rine) Crowthers.

Shirley was a 1957 graduate of Union High School and retired from Coshocton City Schools where she was a baker. She was a longtime patron, supporter, and loved attending the Warsaw Lions Club annual Minstrel Show.  She enjoyed baking, cooking, and gardening. She served several years as President of the Coshocton Music Boosters where she was in charge of their stand at the county fair. She loved spending time with her family and was also a NASCAR fan.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Davis, whom she married Jan. 16, 1969.  Also surviving are two daughters, Jodi (David) Stipes and Jami (Bob) Clark of Coshocton.  Step grandchildren, Logan (Kayla) Stipes and Peyton Stipes.  A step great grandchild, Pyper Jo Stipes.

A brother, Gary (Peggy) Crowthers of New Philadelphia, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw. Visitation is Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 from 5-7 p.m.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
