James F. Hoover

Hoover001WARSAW- James Franklin Hoover, 79, of CR 401, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 31, 1934 in Spencer, WV to the late George and Rhoada (Arnold) Hoover.  He was a steelworker at LTV Steel (formerly Republic Steel).  He was a member of the Coshocton Sportsman’s Club, the Tiverton Grange, and he was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved animals, and was a long-time fan and supporter of the Warsaw Lions Club Minstrel Show.  He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and a very loving husband.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marcella (Geiser) Hoover of Warsaw, whom he married Dec. 10, 1977, two sons; Jim (Diana) Hoover of Polk, and Thomas (Bonnie) Hoover of Parma, a daughter, Jill Willis of Coshocton, eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Gae (Scott) Bailey of Minnora, WV, and Ernistine (John) Dommer of Massillon, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Chaplain Thomas Hoover officiating.  Burial will follow at a later date in Tiverton Baptist Cemetery.  Calling hours are two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
