Hopewell Indians earn state title

COSHOCTON – The Hopewell Indians won the division III basketball championship this past weekend. The Indians were 14-0 this season and were sent off to the tournament Friday in style with a police and fire escort and cheering fans waving as they traveled down Main Street. The team beat Lucas County on Friday and on Saturday topped the Hamilton County Lakers 70-59, to win their first ever state title.
