JHM needs submissions for Local Bounty exhibit
COSHOCTON – The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is seeking artwork and fine craft for its upcoming exhibit, Local Bounty, on display Sept. 27, through Jan. 4, 2015.
The exhibit celebrates locally grown food, which includes crops, gardens, trees and animals. Local Bounty also celebrates each stage of food procurement — the planting, growing, harvesting and preparation, as well as the enjoyment of eating it. All types of art and craft are acceptable. Styles may range from representational and primitive to abstract or conceptual. Film and literature entries are encouraged. The show will include a youth (under 18) category for submissions. A Best of Show prize will be given in both the adult and youth categories.
Entrants may submit up to five works. Entry fee is $15. Jury review is by CD or e-mail submission. To request a prospectus, e-mail the museum at jhmuseum@jhmuseum.org, download a pdf at the museum’s website: www.jhmuseum.org, or mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum, 300 N. Whitewoman St., Coshocton, OH 43812.
